Windows 8 Help

In the XP era, Microsoft changed the format of the help files that the OS and apps use. They provided software so that the old versions could be read, and the users weren’t left with no help for their old apps.

Today I tried to get some help for Across Lite, the program I use for New York Times crossword puzzles. I saw this:

I followed the link to the support website so I could get WinHlp32.exe, the help reader for Win 8. It’s not available yet:

It’ll probably be out by the time Win 8 is generally available in October.
