Purchased from Amazon. Arrived with no documentation. I found the manual on the web. Powers up and displays the splash screen, and the power light turns blue. Then it says “No Signal”, and the power light turns amber. Not recognized by the computer (an Apple Studio Ultra M2). Powering from the included USB-C power supply evoked the same behavior as powering from the Mac. Both HDMI and USB-C connections from the Mac produce the same result. The computer drives an iPad Pro as a second display just fine.
The so-called Joy Button results in no joy, and does not bring up the on screen display.
I’m dead in the water here. I have to say that the ViewSonic birds in their logo on the splash screen have never looked better, and that makes me want the monitor to work.
Amazon is shipping a replacement.
I got the replacement monitor the next day. I hooked it up. This one works. There is something strange, though; when the monitor has no input, you can’t bring up the on screen display, and it won’t work with the USB-C connection from the Mac for video — I have to use the HDMI port.
