The new server takes over

Figuring that the new server is faster and probably more reliable than the other domain controller, I transferred all the fmso roles to it. I checked with netdom, and it looks good:

If you can do it from the GUI, that’s the best way. If the owner of the fmso roles has died and you want to forcibly repossess them and give them to another server, look at this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/255504

If you go about halfway down the page, you’ll see the heading “Seize FSMO roles”; that’s what you want.
