Soberanes fire MODIS data — part 2

July 25, 2016 Jim Leave a Comment

This afternoon’s  3pm PDT MODIS data indicates no new fires near Rancho San Carlos, but the fire is advancing slowly south of there.

Dark red spots are less than six hours old. Lighter red less than 12 hours. Orange spots less than 24 hours. Yellow spots show fire activity for the entire calendar year.

An airplane view from the south gives an idea how the fire relates to the canyons and ridges.
