Soberanes fire MODIS data — part 6

July 26, 2016 Jim Leave a Comment

This evening, almost all the new hot spots are in the southern end of the fire. There is no new MODIS activity in the Carmel Highlands, and the new hotspots in Rancho San Carlos appear to be filling in the interior of the fire perimeter.

Dark red spots are less than six hours old. Lighter red less than 12 hours. Orange spots less than 24 hours. Yellow spots show fire activity for the last six days.

The fire activity towards the south is easier to see in an oblique view. I now have time stamps and a legend in the upper right corner of these Google Earth/MODIS images.
