Lightroom goes parallel

I’ve complained before that Lightroom doesn’t use all the cores in my dual hexcore workstation. I was exporting two large sequences today for stitching, and noticed that the mouse got jerky. I brought up the resource monitor, and this is what I saw:

This is really good performance. I’m not sure what’s changed; I’d never tried simultaneous exports before, and I hadn’t looked at Lr’s parallelization since they released version 5.2.

Whatever the reason, kudos to Adobe.

When it comes to really making those CPU fans spin, AutoPano is still the champ:
