Dell 7920 OOBE — a resource eater

April 12, 2022 Jim Leave a Comment

My new computer started to get very slow. I brought up the task manager, and here’s what I saw:

I tried to end the task. No joy.

I went into the Startup menu, and didn’t see anything that looked like it might launch PC-Doctor.

I went to services, and stopped the Dell Support Assist service. Then I disabled it.

PC Doctor is still running, and eating up resources.

I uninstalled Dell Support Assist and rebooted.
